President Sakellaropoulou to DEF IX: Greece participates equally in the European, regional and international developments

The President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, in a post on Twitter on Monday, referred to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and underlined that “it is our duty to fight every form of intolerance so that all people are safe, regardless of their indentity, origin and beliefs”.

Specifically, in a message for Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day on April 24, Sakellaropoulou said:

“We honour the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide that were killed under Ottoman Rule. It is our duty to fight every form of intolerance so that all people are safe, regardless of their indentity, origin and beliefs.”
