Cyprus President Christodoulides speaks on the phone with PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, spoke on the phone on Thursday with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and expressed the deep and sincere condolences of his government, the people of Cyprus and himself, personally, for the deaths of dozens of people killed in Tuesday’s tragic train crash in Greece.

The Cyprus Presidency has issued a relevent announcement stating that Christodoulides reiterated Cyprus’ readiness to offer support in any possible way, if it is asked.

On his part, Mitsotakis thanked Christodoulides and briefed him on the situation as it is developing, as well as on the course of the search to locate the two missing Cypriot nationals who were on the train.
