Thirty foreign nationals found on a rocky shore in Chania safe and well

Thirty foreign nationals that were rescued by the Coast Guard on Monday night, when their vessel was spotted off the rocky shoreline of the area Tigani in Gramvoussa, Chania are being hosted at the Kissamos Port station, where processes for their identification were underway.

The thirty foreign nationals – 17 men, four women and nine minors – are in good health and were offered food and drinks, while a preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Kissamos port station of the Central Port Authority of Chania, Crete.

The 10.5-metre wooden vessel in which they were travelling will be confiscated.
