Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias hosted a working lunch on the Athenian coast for his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on Sunday, before they flew to Luxembourg to attend the EU-Egypt Association Council meeting.

At their lunch they discussed developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa, Dendias said in a tweet.

The EU-Egypt meeting is chaired by High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and Shoukry.

It will focus on bilateral relations and political matters, an EU statement said, while the plenary session will be devoted to a discussion on the developments and prospects of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Egypt. The meeting will also endorse the new EU-Egypt Partnership priorities until 2027.
