Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Friday had an extensive and constructive phone call with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

The talks focused on bilateral relations, following the Chinese foreign minister’s recent visit to Athens and in the light of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and China.

Economic, trade and cultural relations, as well as the situation in Ukraine, were also on the agenda.

Dendias thanked Wang Yi for China’s stance on Greece’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its principled stance on the Cyprus issue within the UNSC, the Greek foreign ministry posted on Twitter.
