Minister of State Akis Skertsos has a very mild case of Covid-19 and has tested positive using a lateral flow test, according to a post by the minister on Tuesday on social media. He reported very mild symptoms, which he attributed to the fact that he is triple-jabbed.

“This morning I was diagnosed as positive for coronavirus after a rapid test. Thans to my triple vaccination my symptoms until now have been extremely mild, a minor discomfort in my throat and an intermittent dry cough. I am proceeding immediately with the implementation of the National Public Health Organisation isolation protocols and will be working from home over the next few days,” the post said.

Skertsos also added the following message: “The vaccine saves. All those that have not yet had the first or third dose of their vaccination should do so as soon as possible.”
