Staikouras to take part in annual IMF and World bank meeting

Finance Minister Christos Staikouras will take part in the annual meeting of the IMF and the World Bank taking place on Monday via teleconference. Staikouras, in the context of the meeting, will participate in a closed debate with the management  of  IMF and with European officials on the climate transition and green investments in the developed economies of Europe.

Staikouras will also hold online meetings with investment and banking groups, such as Nomura,  Société Générale, HSBC and Commerzbank.

Finally, he will take part in the Finance Ministers Alliance on Climate Actions, of which Greece is a permanent member in the last two years. The aim of the Alliance is the promotion of strong collective actions relating to climate change and its repercussions.
