Theodorikakos: Four million euros already given to Karditsa after Medicane

“In record time, the municipality of Karditsa has already received four million euros in compensation for the citizens who were stricken by Medicane Ianos,” Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos said in an interview with ANT1 TV on Wednesday.
He explained that the funds have already been deposited in an account for the municipality at the Deposits and Loans Fund and asked that they be given to the citizens immediately, avoiding bureaucracy.
The minister also highlighted the extent of the damage that he witnessed during his visit to Karditsa: “I saw sadness and despair, because the damage was very great. We could not believe our eyes. We are here to turn hope into action.”
