Petsas: Debate on ratification of agreements with Italy and Egypt on maritime zones to begin on Monday in parliament

Τhe debate in parliament on the ratification of the agreements with Egypt and Italy on the demarcation of the sea boundaries will begin on Monday and will be set to vote on Wednesday, said government spokesperson Stelios Petsas at a press briefing on Thursday.

Τhe data on coronavirus reaffirms that Greece is in a better position in comparison with other European countries, as for example Belgium, and the largest spread is due to the internal relaxation and not to tourism, Petsas said adding that only 0.21 percent of the tourists positive with COVID-19.

Meanwhile the reopening of schools is programmed at the infectious diseases committee recommendations, with all the pupils in the classroom and with high protections measures.
He said that details on the reopening of all the education structures will be finalised in the next days and will be announced by Education Minister Niki Kerameus on Monday 24 August.

On the economy, he said that that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will present the government’s economic programme at the political-economic forum “Thessaloniki-Helexpo Forum” on 12 and 13 September 2020.
