3rd Euro-Arab Summit-Borisov: Greek-Bulgarian cooperation is an example for other neighbours




Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov sent a message on Monday that Greek-Bulgarian cooperation is an example for other neighbours, during his address to the 3rd Euro-Arab Summit.

“We will always be good friends with Greece and we would like others to follow suit,” he said, while stressing the importance of energy coperation between the two countries.

Borisov said that he will discuss cooperation on the remaining 25 pct of the gas pipeline project that remains to be clarified in detail with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

He also referred to his personal relations with Tsipras and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, noting that “we are a small group of people that insist on unity and an international presence of the European Union and the Arab countries cannot but be a partner in this. We have better chances when we cooperate, when our efforts are coordinated,” he underlined.

The Bulgarian prime minister said that the the high number of participants at the summit demonstrates the momentum and the prospects that exist for prosperity in the wider region.

He also referred to the importance of the protection of human rights, stressing the need to defend them.
