New gold for shooting champ Anna Korakaki in Championships and a ticket to the 2020 Olympic




In yet another sweeping success in her career, Greek shooting champion Anna Korakaki bagged one more gold medal and a ticket to the 2020 Olympic Games with her performance at the 52nd ISSF World Championships in Changwon, S. Korea on Tuesday.

Beating the competition in the women’s 10m air pistol competition, 22-year-old Korakaki climbed to the top of the rankings and established herself as the best pistol shooter in the world.

The gold and bronze Olympic medallist earned 241.1 points, beating Serb athlete Zorana Arunovic (239.8 points) and S. Korea’s Kim Bomi (218.8 points).

Korakaki received a message from President of the Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos, who congratulated her on her success and on winning yet another global event in her sport.
