Minister Olga Gerovasili announces reforms, 7,900 hirings in the public sector for year 2019

There will be an estimated 7,900 hirings in the public sector in 2019 after the agreement with the institutions, Administration Restructuring Minister Olga Gerovasili said while speaking to the radio station ‘Sto Kokkino 105.5’ on Tuesday.
Gerovassili said that this number is based on an agreement for a 1:1 hirings/retirements ratio (one hiring for every retirement in 2018), in combination with the ministry’s forecasts for retirements in 2018.
According to Gerovassili, the fourth review of the Greek programme found that the reforms underway are being implemented without delay. These include the transfers of civil servants, the digital organisation charts and staff evaluations along with actions for e-governance, the codification of legislation and others.
