Kyriakos Mitsotakis interviewed: ND restores contact with society, builds mass popular base

Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis referred to his party’s internal elections on Sunday, in an article published in the “Philelephteros” newspaper on Friday.
“For the first time all the members of the party throughout the country will directly elect the leadership of our regional and municipal organisations, as well as the representatives for the next ND Congress that will be held at the end of the year,” he said.
Mitsotakis called this initiative “a bold political choice because it marks the opening to the society in order to regain their trust,” adding that ND is once again becoming a party with a mass popular base.
