Greek embassy in Washington opens its doors to public

The Greek embassy in Washington opened its doors to the public on Saturday as part of the annual event organised by the European Union delegation to the United States for Europe Day.
The event was held in cooperation with the embassies of the 28 member-states located in the US capital, while for another year the Greek participation proved to be very popular, as it is estimated that almost 2,500 visitors came to the embassy.
Emphasising the country’s hospitality and using rich audiovisual material to promote the monuments and natural beauties of Greece, the staff of the Embassy as well as volunteers took advantage of the opportunity to showcase Greek tourism, culture and the high quality of Greek products.
