UNSG’s special advisor on Cyprus returns to the island to continue peace effort
Espen Barth Eide, the UN Secretary General’s Special Advisor on Cyprus, returns to the island next week to assure the leaders of the two communities in Cyprus that the UN continues to support their efforts, according to UN sources.

The government of Cyprus has denounced, in a letter to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the illegal `agreement` between Turkey and the self-styled regime in the northern Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus, regarding the transfer of electricity to the occupied areas.
