Greek unemployment rate fell to 19 pct of the workforce in July from 19.1 pct in June and 20.9 pct in July 2017, Hellenic Statistical Authority said in a report released on Thursday.
The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced on Thursday the results of the Labour Force Survey for the second quarter of 2018.
The Greek unemployment rate eased to 20.2 pct of the workforce in April, from 21.7 pct in April 2017, but rose slightly from 20.1 pct in May this year, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in March 2018 was 20.1 pct compared to the 22.1 pct in March 2017 and the downward revised 20.6 pct in February 2018, the Helleic Statistical Authrity said on Thursday.
The Greek economy contracted by 0.7 pct on average in 2015, Hellenic Statistical Authority said in its first estimate for the country’s Gross Domestic Product in the fourth quarter last year.
