Greek government ministers will hold several meetings throughout the day on Wednesday with the mission chiefs of the institutions in Athens, ahead of their departure from the city on Thursday afternoon.
Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos on Thursday concluded a meeting with the representatives of the institutions on a first review of Greece’s programme. In statements afterward, the minister said there had been an introductory talk, during which they discussed the agenda for the negotiations.
The European forces should understand the threat and ask from the IMF to clear out its stance, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in an interview with Star TV late on Monday.
“We have paved the way in order for the program review to be completed on time,” Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday said during a cabinet meeting.
“Our firm position is that the program review must be completed in a short time because neither Greece nor Europe have time to waste,” government spokeswoman Olga Gerovassili said on Tuesday during a press briefing.
