Six Turkish nationals arrested in Greek police counter-mafia operation
A police operation is taking place by the Directorate of Dealing with Organized Crime as of Wednesday morning in Attica to arrest Turkish nationals who are living in Greece and involved in organized crime.
Greek police said that up to now six Turkish nationals have been arrested over violations of laws on arms and narcotics, while searches are continuing in homes and other spaces.
Wednesday’s operation is a follow-up to other operations carried out recently by the counter-organized-crime directorate, particularly in northern Greece, aiming at dismantling criminal rings related to the Turkish mafia.
Hellenic Police will announce details about the results after the operation’s conclusion.
