Hellenic Police, in collaboration with Swedish authorities and following information exchanges with the SIRENE Department of the International Police Cooperation Division, arrested two Kurdish nationals, a 55-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, in Neos Kosmos on Wednesday.

European arrest warrants had been issued against them by Swedish authorities for murder.

According to the police, the arrested individuals, along with five others detained during a simultaneous operation in Sweden, are accused of orchestrating and committing the murder of the 37-year-old man’s wife last September in Sweden.

After information exchanges between Greek and Swedish authorities, a special operational team from the Search Department was formed.

Following a thorough investigation, the two suspects were located in Neos Kosmos.

Police reported that numerous mobile phones, tablets, documents and clothing were found and seized from their residence, with information to be collected and sent to Swedish authorities.
