Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the telephone on Thursday, assuring him of Greece’s continued support for Ukraine.

In the wake of the European Council decision in December last year, Mitsotakis reaffirmed Greece’s support for Ukraine’s European course and for the convening of an EU-Ukraine intergovernmental conference in June that will mark the launch of formal EU accession negotiations with Ukraine.

Mitsotakis also accepted an official invitation from Zelenskyy to participate in the Summit on Peace in Ukraine, which is taking place in Switzerland on June 15-16.
