The heatwave ‘Kleon’ is in full progress throughout Greece on Friday. According to meteorologists, Friday is expected to be the hottest with temperatures reaching 44 on the Celsius scale in Sterea and Thessaly.
Additionally, a level 3 heat-health alert was issued in Athens, Thessaloniki and Larissa on Friday.
The fire risk rose significantly as very warm and dry conditions greatly increase the flammability of dead organic matter in forests.
