“We do not consider our country’s international relations an ‘oriental bazaar’ in which illegal agreements and practices are equated with legal rights,” Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stated in an interview with the newspaper Politico on Thursday.

“We are seeking to reach a peaceful solution with Turkiye for the one and only difference we have with Türkiye based on the International Law and the Law of the Sea. A solution that will have strong foundations and will contribute to peace and stability in the wider region. Such an effort, and under the above conditions, will have the support of the almostl all the Greek political forces.”
“But” as he said “it takes two to tango. Whether this will become possible depends on the will of the other side as well, he added.

He said that that he is no “an appeasement fan” adding that “we must react with seriousness which means that you serve your positions with strategy, consistency, self confidence, arguments by building alliances and taking advantage of the opportunities.”

The foreign policy of a country is a dynamic procedure which is developing in a constantly changing international environment and extends to new fields. Economy, culture, environment highlight new perspectives of mutually benefial cooperation.
