Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras on Tuesday spoke of a government and a prime minister that have “fallen short of expectations,” noting  that the state was “unprepared, without coordination and disorganised” in the face of adverse weather conditions whose arrival had been known many days in advance.

Tsipras also asserted that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, “who is main person responsible for the chaos, is absent” while the government ministers were busy blaming anyone and anything else.

“It is as if he is somewhere else, as if he is governing another country,” added Tsipras.

Concluding, Tsipras spoke of a government and a prime minster that failed, noting that “we do not deserve this behaviour. We do not deserve this generalised insecurity that is their continued presence in power generates. The sooner they resign… the better for the country”.
