Athens-Lamia nat’l road to remain shut to Wed., as road network affected by snowstorm

The Athens-Lamia national highway (Attica section) will be shut down to 07:00 on Wednesday, instead of the original shutdown to 19:00 on Tuesday.
The Attica section includes Kalyftakis Bridge in Kifissia to the borders with Viotia (Boeotia) prefecture. Travel from Viotia onwards will be open.
In addition, traffic was restored on Tuesday at the old Athens-Corinth national highway and the Megara-Alepohori highway at 16:30 the same day, shut down because of the snowstorm.
In the first case, traffic was banned between the 28th and 34th kilometers in both directions, while in the Megara-Alepohori case traffic was interrupted between the 5th km and Alepohori, both due to heavy snow fall.
