President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou is to visit the island of Kastellorizo on Sunday and Monday, September 13-14, in order to attend the celebrations for the 77th anniversary of its liberation.
According to the programme announced by the Presidency, Sakellaropoulou will attend a service on Sunday morning at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen and lay a wreath at the Monument of the Fallen.
The president will also visit Hellenic Navy ships docked in Kastellorizo and, in the afternoon, tour sites of cultural interest on the island.
On Monday, Sakellaropoulou will attend the Divine Liturgy for the celebration of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, and will go to the school of the island to attend the first day of the new school year.
