We are building a new development model for the country, alternate minister Costas Fotakis says

The knowledge economy can constitute an important field of growth in Greece, Alternate Minister for Research and Innovation Costas Fotakis said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) released on Monday.

  • He underlined that the country has high quality jobs, an attractive environment and opportunities that inspire scientific research. “Last Week, the 2nd Cycle of the Research – Create – Innovate programme with a total budget of 250 million euros was announced,” he added.

Of these actions, a total of 6,800 new and good quality jobs are expected to be created. The focus on the new call for proposals is to strengthen the staffing of innovative R & D departments and to implement projects related to technologies related to the so-called 4th Industrial Revolution, he noted.
