The knowledge economy can constitute an important field of growth in Greece, Alternate Minister for Research and Innovation Costas Fotakis said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) released on Monday.
- He underlined that the country has high quality jobs, an attractive environment and opportunities that inspire scientific research. “Last Week, the 2nd Cycle of the Research – Create – Innovate programme with a total budget of 250 million euros was announced,” he added.
Of these actions, a total of 6,800 new and good quality jobs are expected to be created. The focus on the new call for proposals is to strengthen the staffing of innovative R & D departments and to implement projects related to technologies related to the so-called 4th Industrial Revolution, he noted.
