Foreign ministry: Embassy paint attack ‘can’t affect’ US-Greek friendship

The Greek foreign ministry, in an announcement on Monday, condemned a paint attack on the US Embassy, carried out by the anti-establishment group Rouvikonas in the early hours of Monday.
“We condemn the throwing of paint by members of the anti-establishment group at the forecourt of the US Embassy in Athens, which resulted in material damage.
Such actions can’t affect the close and longstanding relations of friendship between our peoples and the strategic Greek-US relationship, which is becoming stronger at a very crucial period for our country and the region. The Greek authorities responsible are carrying out all the necessary actions in order to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
