Now the right time for constitutional revision, SYRIZA parliament spokesman says

Now is the best time for constitutional revision, Syriza parliamentary spokesman Christos Mantas told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM on Thursday.
“I believe this is the best time, because we have left behind us a very painful era of the Greek people, that of fiscal adjustment programs and memoranda, and now is the time to introduce institutional reforms that everyone acknowledges must be done,” the Ioannina deputy told Praktoreio.
Syriza, senior coalition member, will table its proposals for changes to the constitution in Parliament within the next few days. They will include regulations on turning the investigation of ministers for money laundering over to regular courts (it now lies with Parliament) and on forcing a change in prime minister when there is a lack of confidence in the government instead of going to national elections, he said.
