Greek taxpayers will see a tax reduction of 3.5 billion euros in the near future, Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos said in Iraklio, Crete, on Friday.
Greek lawmakers passed the government’s tax and pension reform bill in the early hours of Monday morning, in a roll-call vote requested by the opposition parties including New Democracy (main opposition), Golden Dawn, Democratic Coalition, Potami, independent deputy Leonidas Grigorakos and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE).
