Istanbul, February 16, 2016 — Turkish authorities should immediately release Feyyaz İmrak, a correspondent for the pro-Kurdish Dicle News Agency (DİHA), the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.

New York, February 4, 2016—The Committee to Protect Journalists is concerned for the safety of Rohat Aktaş, a news editor and reporter for the Kurdish-language daily Azadiya Welat, who has been trapped in the southeastern town of Cizre with a gunshot wound since January 22.
The Committee to Protect Journalists will take part in a joint press conference on Turkey’s press freedom record, alongside Reporters Without Borders and the European Federation of Journalists. The press conference, “EU must stop its double standards with Turkey,” will be held in Brussels on December 15, 2015.
