Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis should be removed from his post, SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis said in a social media post addressed to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday.
The main opposition leader’s post is as follows: “Mr Mitsotakis, the statement by the far-rightist you appointed as health minister, ‘The (female) patient had a cardiac arrest on Sunday, and there are no doctors on the weekends, no country can have doctors everywhere,’ is an extreme sample of cynicism. I know that you share with Mr Georgiadis the same cynicism and the same lack of compassion (we saw that from Tempi to Penteli), but this statement specifically can be ‘healed’ only by his immediate expulsion.”
(The references to Tempi and Penteli relate to the train collision and the fires in Penteli.)
