Body of missing Michael Mosley located in the area of Aghia Marina
The body of one of the most best-known presenters on British TV and radio Michael Mosley that was found on the rocks in the area of Aghia Marina, Symi island will be possibly transferred to Rhodes hospital for post mortem examination.
The 67-years-old TV presenter was located on Sunday on the rocks, ten metres away from beach.
The body was spotted by an ERT (public broadcaster) crew who was on a boat together with the mayor of Symi, Lefteris Papakalodoukas.
Papakalodoukas stated to Athens-Macedonian News Agency that , “the 67-year-old, contrary to what initially estimated, that he was heading to the town of Symi, seems to have moved towards Aghia Marina”. According to the mayor, the presenter managed to cross, in hot conditions, the entire steep slope, but shortly before reaching the beach, he fell under unknown conditions, maybe he got dizzy or tripped.
It is noted that since Thursday morning, when Mosley’s wife went to police and said he was missing, a huge rescue operation was launched to locate him.
