Very high risk of fire in Attica, Crete, Evia and other areas on Wednesday

There is a very high risk of fire (Category 4) in the regions of Attica, Crete and Central Greece on Wednesday, as well as areas in the Peloponnese and the North Aegean, according to the Fire Risk Map issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection.

More specifically, Category 4 risk is reported in:

Attica (including the island of Kythera)
Central Greece (regional unit of Evia)
Peloponnese (regional units of Corinth, Argolida and Laconia)
North Aegean (regional units of Lesvos, Chios, Samos and Ikaria)
Crete

The General Secretariat for Civil Protection has advised state services, municipalites and regional authorities in these areas to be on standby to promptly deal with any fires.
