Lesvos will serve as a cultural hub, embracing people of the arts and, as Regional Governor Kostas Moutzouris stated, “transforming the North Aegean into a hub of art, science, and dialogue – a cultural institution with a vision to showcase the island’s local identity, authenticity, and beauty.”

On Thursday, July 10, in an event co-organised with the “Archipelagos” Cultural Association, the renowned composer Stavros Xarchakos will present a unique musical programme.

On Friday, July 11, a discussion entitled “when journalism meets literature” will be held in honour of the Lesvian journalist Freddy Germanos with the participation of Greek politicians and journalists.

On Saturday, July 12, a special event – a tribute to Lyric Poetry will be organised at the archaeological site where poetry contests were held since the time of Sappho.
