FM Gerapetritis speaks on the phone with Indian FM and Dep PM of Pakistan

Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis had phone conversations with the Foreign Minister of India Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday.

Gerapetritis greeted the ceasefire agreement and called the parties to continue de-escalation efforts through confidence building because of the high volatility in the region. He also reaffirmed Greece’s firm stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and in favour of holding terrorists accountable for their actions.

Under very adverse conditions worldwide, with rising conflicts and aggressions, all states need to go back to the basics of the UN Charter and especially the imperative of pacific settlement of disputes. Greece’s motto at the UN Security Council becomes all more relative. Dialogue, Democracy, Diplomacy. During current Presidency of the UN Security Council, Greece will spare no effort to promote global peace and security.
