Dep FM Loverdos to receive Holy Fire in Jerusalem
Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Loverdos will visit Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, 19 April, in order to attend the ceremony of the Holy Fire at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a foreign ministry announcement said on Thursday.
Loverdos will meet with the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III, from whom he will receive the Holy Fire to bring back to Greece.
The flight carrying the Holy Fire is due at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” at about 19:00 on Saturday, after which it will be distributed throughout Greece.
