Romania’s Pop and Greece’s Marinakou come first in men’s and women’s 13th Athens Half-Marathon

Romanian athlete Luca Dragos Pop was first to finish the 13th Athens Half-Marathon on Sunday, completing the race in a time of 1:04:49 to win the men’s race.

Dario Ivanovski of North Macedonia came second with a time of 1:05:19, while Nikos Stamoulis came third and was the top Greek runner, with a time of 1:05:34.

Second and third for the Greek team were Panagiotis Karaiskos and Giorgos Stamoulis, with a time of 1:06:14 and 1:06:21, respectively.

The women’s race was won by Greek athlete Anastasia Marinakou, who crossed the finish line to win both the general and Greek championship, in a time of 1:14:16, ahead of Bulgaria’s Marinela Nineva (second with a time of 1:14:45) and fellow Greek Eirini Tsoupaki (1:17:27), who placed third.

Stamatia Noula came third in the Greek team’s rankings, with a time of 1:17:32.
