PM Mitsotakis speaks on the phone with Volodymyr Zelensky

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about Greece’s positions at Thursday’s Special European Council meeting, as well as the European Union’s commitment for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, in a telephone conversation they had earlier on Tuesday, according to the Prime Minister’s Press Office.

They discussed the latest developments ahead of the Special European Council in Brussels on Thursday. Additionally, Mitsotakis underlined that this demands a significant enhancement of EU and Ukrainian defence capabilities, as well as US support.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis pointed out that Greece will continue to support Ukraine, according to the same sources.
