Search for young skier missing at Seli ski resort still underway

A rescue operation to locate a man that went missing on Monday afternoon while skiing at Seli ski resort in the region of Imathia, continued on Tuesday.

Twenty-seven firemen, rescuers and volunteers were participating in the operation, assisted by a scent dog, thermal cameras and drones. Fire Brigade sources said that a helicopter will also take part in the mission.

The young skier went to Seli ski resort on Monday with his friends and at some point he went on his own to explore the slopes of the ski resort. His friends called the autorities when the ski resort closed and they found out that their friend was missing. A search and rescue operation continued throughout the night without any result.
