Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was briefed on plans by OTE, a member of the Telekom group, to carry out investments worth 3.0 billion euros to expand the optic fibre and 5G networks in Greece by 2027, during his meeting on Wednesday with Telekom CEO Timotheus Höttges.
According to government sources, Höttges reaffirmed Telekom’s commitment to continue investing in Greece and expressed satisfaction over the good cooperation with the Greek government. The meeting also examined the broader progress in Greece’s digitalisation and the development of the infrastructure required for the telecommunication needs of a modern, high-technology economy.
