Miami— Once a month at the home games for the Miami Heat, the court side lounges at the Kaseya Center in Miami invite one of the city’s top chefs to prepare the game meal.

Friday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets found Greek chef Demetrios Pyliotis from Poseidon in Miami Beach in the hot seat.

On Pyliotiis’s buffet table—everything from souvlaki on a stick and shrimp Santorini to stuffed grape leaves, spanakopita, and even “Spetsofaei”—a spicy tomato-based dish featuring onions, green peppers, and sausage.

The chef had to prepare enough food for 400 people who had purchased court side tickets for the game, tickets that could cost up to $5,000 each. Guests had access to lounges on both sides of the court—one sponsored by Padron tequila and the other by Grey Goose vodka and Amerant, a Miami bank.
