Marinakis: Neglecting the supervision of a minor is a very, very serious matter

Juvenile delinquency needs to be addressed at its roots, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said in an interview with ANT1 TV on Tuesday and referred to a series of government actions in this direction, such as the campaign against bullying in schools and the ban on the use of mobile phones in schools.

In this context, he also stressed the importance of parental supervision. “We don’t mince our words. We might become unpleasant to some people, but neglecting the supervision of a minor is a very, very serious matter, which is why the government is making the penalties tougher,” he added.
On the hike in prices, Marinakis referred to the price reductions of 6-15 pct for selected products taking place by the end of October and to another 600 product codes to be added in the near future.
Regarding disposable income, he noted that incomes were still low but that Greece had ranked first in terms of the growth of disposable income in the last five years. He also referred to the prime minister’s commitment that in 2027 the average salary will be 1,500 euros and noted that the budget foresees a higher increase in income than in prices.
“Money can’t be grown. This prime minister is not prepared to govern with loans,” he stressed.
