Greek Foreign Affairs Minister George Gerapetritis participated on Sunday night at a ministerial working dinner on the Middle East, hosted by European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, the prime minister and foreign minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the president of the think tank International Peace Institute, Zei Ra’ad Al Hussein.
The dinner took place at the Institute’s offices in New York, where Gerapetritis initiated his contacts in the framework of the 79th UN General Assembly meeting.
During the meeting, the Greek FM underlined that Greece is prepared to contribute to all necessary peace efforts as a sincere interlocutor who enjoys the confidence of all involved parties.
Representatives of Arab countries expressed their appreciation for the consistent and principled stance Greece holds in the Middle East crisis.
