Defence Minister Nikos Dendias outlines plan to strengthen Greece’s defence industry

National Defence Minister Nikos Dendias in an interview with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) magazine “Anaptyxi,” outlined government’s plans for the Greek defence industry.

Dendias emphasized that the plan includes upgrading infrastructure, boosting research and development and collaborating with private and international partners. He noted that leveraging European-funded research and development programs will enhance Greece’s capacity to develop new technologies and improve existing infrastructure.

“ These initiatives will attract investment and create highly skilled jobs, positioning our country competitively on the international stage,” Dendias said. He added that the “ Agenda 2030” aims to establish a modern and efficient defence ecosystem that meets national needs while contributing to economic growth and national security.
