FM Gerapetritis meets Israeli counterpart Katz on NATO Summit sidelines in Washington




The latest developments in the Middle East and the necessity to prevent the spillover of the war in Gaza were at the center of the meeting held on Wednesday between Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and his Israeli counterpart Israel Katz on the sidelines of the NATO Summit.

According to a Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs post on X platform, Gerapetritis stressed the need for sustainable peace, the upgrade of full-scale humanitarian assistance, and the release of all hostages. He also briefed his counterpart on initiatives to create a Euro-Arab task force to promote peace in the Middle East, and the joint letter by Greece, Denmark and Portugal to the EU to promote the institution-building and reforms of the Palestinian Authority.
