European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of Commission Josep Borrell will meet National Defence Minister Nikos Dendias in Athens on Friday.

Their meeting will be followed by a visit to the headquarters of the EU operation ASPIDES for the Red Sea (EUNAVFOR ASPIDES) in Larissa, where they will be briefed about the operation.

Dendias and Borrell will then jointly travel to Djibouti, where they will visit on Saturday the Greek frigate “Psara”, which is part of the ASPIDES operation.

Dendias and Borrell will be accompanied by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis and Chief of the Hellenic Navy Staff, Rear Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras.
