Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance unequivocally condemned the new violation of the Prespa Agreement by the president of VMRO and called on the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to finally take measures.

“We would like to remind VMRO that the continuous violations of the Prespa Agreement results in prescribed sanctions arising from international and EU law. The Prespa Agreement is a European acquis and full compliance with it is a necessary condition for North Macedonia to join the EU. At the same time, we remind you of the US legislation of 2021 which provides for sanctions in case of violation of the Agreement,” SYRIZA-PA said in a statement on Sunday.
