North Macedonia joined NATO with its constitutional name, and is represented in NATO with that name, a NATO official said on Tuesday.

“North Macedonia is a valued NATO ally and makes important contributions to our collective security. This includes troops deployed to our KFOR mission in Kosovo, to our advising and capacity-building mission in Iraq, and to NATO’s multinational battlegroups in Latvia, Bulgaria and Romania. The Prespa Agreement paved the way for North Macedonia’s accession to NATO and contributed to good neighbourly relations, which are important to maintain between Allies. North Macedonia joined the Alliance with its constitutional name, and is represented in NATO with that name,” he said.
