SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras, leader of the main opposition, on Tuesday carried out a tour of Boeotia.

In statements after visiting the market of the town of Livadia, he said that the vast majority of the citizens are continuing to struggle with excessive price hikes, with households and businesses “throwing up their hands” when faced with rampant profiteering because they were simply unable to make ends meet.

“At the same time the government appears to continue to be in its own world,” he said.

Tsipras noted that the time for this ordeal to end is drawing near. “Only a few weeks of patience remain until the major change for the country will come”.

“On May 21 the citizens will ‘send back this bill’ via the ballot box and from the very next day, without any second round of elections and other adventures, a progressive coalition government will take on the difficult work of revising the country, of restoring the economy and supporting society” concluded Tsipras.
