The Greek Foreign Affairs ministry congratulated Sweden for assuming the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of 2023, in a tweet on Sunday (New Year’s Day).

In its tweet, the ministry expressed its “best wishes for a productive term & we look forward to working together in the interest of the EU & its citizens,” while it also thanked the Czech Republic “for the successful presidency over the past 6 months.”
